Club Events During COVID-19 Restrictions

As we write this we hope that you, your families and friends are safe and well during these most uncertain times.

We’re weeks (or is it months) now into health restrictions and it’s been nice to see, at least in NSW that these have eased a little in the past few days. It’ll be great to be able to see family in friends in small groups of 2 adults, but it still makes it very hard for a group of 70 Supra’s to meet up…

Until we’re able to do that again we’re doing a few things to keep the club connected:

  • Monthly episodes of NSWSC Live via Facebook
  • Online gaming (Forza Horizon 4 & Motorsport 6/7 for now

We did have a full year of events planned, but we’re keeping those on ice until we have some more certainty with what the year holds.

Likely as the restrictions are lifted further we’ll start back with crusies and social meets and if we’re lucky look to do some motorsport events again towards the end of this year, or early next.

Best way to stay in touch with the club is via Facebook, but we’ll also post any significant updates here as well.

Keep your hands as clean as your cars, and stay safe!

It’s that time of the year again ! It’s time for the Entrance Cruise !

With the rising cost of everything, including 98 and E85, NSW Supra Club membership cost remains flat and great value at $30 for the 2020 year.

Your 2020 membership gives you affiliation to a CAMS club for your motorsport needs. Discounts on club events and merchandise (your 2019 membership paid for itself a few times over if you came to dyno day, track day or the motorkhana) and great discounts from our sponsors on their products and services.

We’ll have new membership cards for 2020 ready to go on the day and can accept cash or card payments.

August Event – Bathurst Cruise

Date : Sunday, 4th of August
Meet Point : Windsor McDonald’s Carpark (Cnr Windsor Rd & Hawkesberry Valley Way)
Time : Meet 8am, for 8:30am departure
Destination : National Motor Racing Museum, Mount Panorama, Bathurst (~2 hour drive)
More Details  :https://www.facebook.com/events/464057981089896/

This is one of those epic drives. Cruising up through the Blue Mountains on Bells Line of Road, which climbs out of Richmond up through Bilpin with ample helpings of delicious corners. The upper section of Bells opens up to some 80 and even 100 zones before you descend down into Lithgow and out West towards Bathurst on the highway. Bell’s is one of my favourite bits of road, nice and flowy in a Supra and very scenic.

Food wise, we’ll have a BBQ in the park near the National Motor Racing Musuem to fuel everyone’s bodies up for the drive back home, more details on the Facebook post on lunch arrangements. If you’re planning on attending this event and have any dietary requirements please post up on the event page so we can cater for you.

Last year was my first visit to The Mountain and I was impressed. You can drive the full Bathurst Track, it’s tight, really tight and there are some bits where the road just falls away from you. It’s very hard to not plant it up Mountain Straight or Conrod…I can see why so many professional drivers list Bathurst as one of their favourite road courses. Keep in mind it’s a public road, speed limit is 60, please adhere to all road rules and speed limits on this cruise.
